So we are in September 2019 and it is time to see what new Korean dramas are coming our way. This time I also decided to include the dramas that will end in September, 2019 so that you can see which latest drama you can binge watch.

This month we have to say goodbye to some good dramas but hi! to many more good ones. September is full of much awaited and star-studded korean dramas. Ji Chang Wook, Im Siwan, Gong Hyo Jin, Bae Suzy and Kang Ha Neul all are going to comeback in the drama world after a long gap. From fantasy to action and even two historicals, this month is definitely worth giving your time. So which drama will you decide from the following list of September releases?

2. Birthday Letter (KBS2 Special Drama)

The story of the drama “Birthday Letter” goes like this. Kim Mu Gil is an old man who during his old days was forced to work in Hiroshima during Japan’s occupation of Korea. Surprisingly one day he receives a letter from his first love Yeo Il Ae. Kim Jae Yoon (Jeon So Min) who is Kim Mu Gil’s granddaughter upon seeing the letter decides to find his grandfather’s first love and she then discovers about their emotional past along the way. The drama will focus on the painful lives of the youth at the times of Japanese occupation of Korea, Korea’s liberation, and the Korean War.

But Jeong Bok Dong take advantage of the situation and works to completely destroy the mart in order to take revenge from Daema Group.

He then stays in a widow village where he disguises himself as a woman. There he meets Dong Dong Joo (Kim So Hyun) who is unwillingly training to become a gisaeng.

“Hotel Del Luna” will tell the story about a haunted hotel called ‘Del Luna’ and the adventures of Jang Man-wol (IU) and Goo Chan-seong (Yeo Jin Go) in that hotel. Where Jang Man-wol is a girl who has been cursed and is somehow forced to stay in the hotel as the manager. And Goo Chan-seong is the hotelier.

“Hotel Del Luna” will be ending on 1 September, 2019.

16. Class Of Lies

“Class Of Lies” will tell the story of a lawyer Ki Moo Hyuk (Yoon Kyun Sang) who always wins his case. But one of his case related to a high school incident ruins his reputation as a lawyer. To make things better once again he disguise himself as a temporary teacher (under the name Ki Kang Je) in high school and tries to disclose a secret hidden among students.

“Class Of Lies” will be ending on 5 September, 2019.

17. Justice

Korean drama “Justice” will tell a revenge story about a talented yet ill-reputed lawyer named Lee Tae Kyung (Choi Jin Hyuk) who lost his family. In order to take revenge he makes a deal with Song Woo Yong (Son Hyun Joo), CEO of a construction company who is evil in personality.

“Justice” will be ending on 5 September, 2019.

18. Doctor Detective

“Doctor Detective” Korean drama will focus on the dark and mysterious reasons in the society that make people ill. Do Joong Eun (Park Jin Hee), an industrial health doctor and Doctor Heo Min Ki (Bong Tae Kyu) team up to investigate the reasons of industrial accidents, diseases and other incidents.

“Doctor Detective” will be ending on 5 September, 2019.

19. Doctor John

“Doctor John” will revolve around doctor Cha Yo Han’s (Ji Sung) journey towards discovering the reason behind the patient’s mysterious pain. He is also popular by the name “10 seconds” because he can detect a patient in 10 seconds. Kang Shi-young (Lee Se-young) is a doctor who also works in the Department of Anesthesia. She was a top student at medical school which is often credited to her mother who is also a doctor.

“Doctor John” will be ending on 7 September, 2019.

20. Moment At Eighteen

“Moment At Eighteen” will tell the story of teenagers Choi Joon Woo (Ong Seong Woo), Yoo So Bin (Kim Hyang Gi) and Ma Hwi Young (Shin Seung Ho). All with different personalities and ambitions, they learn and experience about life and the hardships it offers when you are 18. Choi Joon Woo who don’t express much meets Yoo So Bin and Ma Hwi Young when he transfers to a new school.

“Moment At Eighteen” will be ending on 10 September, 2019.

21. Hip Hop King

“Hip Hop King – Nassna Street” story will revolve around some young people along with their experiences with hip hop music and culture.

“Hip Hop King” will be ending on 13 September, 2019.

22. Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung

“Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung” will show the romance between a female rookie historian named Goo Hae Ryung (Shin Se Kyung) and prince Yi Rim (Cha Eun Woo). Yi Rim is also a romance novelist but he has never dated anyone. The drama will also show the change in prejudices regarding women working in the palace.

“Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung” will be ending on 19 September, 2019.

23. When The Devil Calls Your Name

“When The Devil Calls Your Name” will tell the story of a man named Ha Rip (Jung Kyung Ho) who makes a contract with the devil to sell his soul in exchange of youth and success. The contract remains for 10 years. After ten years he wished to live the same way again and he again goes to the devil. This time devil made a condition that he must find 3 other people who wish to sell their soul as well. Soon he finds out that the youth and success given to him before was taken from a girl.

“When The devil calls your name” will be ending on 19 September, 2019.

24. Mother of Mine

“Mother Of Mine” Korean drama will tell the story of a woman named Park Sun Ja (Kim Hae Sook) who has three daughters named Mi Sun (Yoo Sun), Mi Ri (Kim So Yun) and Mi Hye (Kim Ha Kyung). She own a beep soup restaurant and wishes her daughters to have a better life than her. Mi Sun is a working woman and she is also married. She has one daughter. Mi Ri is also working at a good job but at the same time she helps her mother a lot. She gets into a relationship with Tae-Joo (Hong Jong Hyun) whose family own a company. Mi Hye is the youngest daughter who was once a good novelist but now helps her mother at the restaurant.

“Mother Of Mine” will be ending on 22 September, 2019.

25. I wanna hear your song

“Let Me Hear Your Song” Korean drama is a story about two people named Hong Yi Young (Kim Se Jung) and Jang Yoon (Yeon Woo Jin) who tries to solve a case of a murder. Hong Yi Young is a timpanist who once witnesses a murder. But due to her amnesia she don’t remember anything about it. One day she meets Jang Yoon, a pianist who upon knowing her situation, tries to help her.

“I wanna hear your song” will be ending on 24 September, 2019.

26. Welcome 2 life

“Welcome 2 Life” is a story about a lawyer Lee Jae Sang (Rain) who has excellent skills but is mean in nature. Things takes turn in his life when an accident takes him into a parallel world.

27. Be Melodramatic

“Be Melodramatic” will tell the story of three best friends Im Jin-Joo (Chun Woo-Hee), Lee Eun-Jung (Jeon Yeo-Bin) and Hwang Han-Joo (Han Ji-Eun). Im Jin Joo is drama script writer with a unique personality. Hwang Han Joo is the head in the drama company marketing team who is also a single mother and Lee Eun Jung is a documentary director.

“Be Melodramatic” will be ending on 28 September, 2019.

28. Strangers from Hell

“Strangers From Hell” will tell the story of a countryside man Yoon Jong Woo (Im Siwan) who moves to Seoul in search of job. The dormitory he lives in, have some strange people and strange and mysterious things happen there. He also meets dentist Seo Moon Zo (Lee Dong Wook) who helps him out.

“Strangers From Hell” will be ending on 29 September, 2019.
