Alert! September, 2019 is going to be hectic for you in the Korean drama world.

All the dramas you have been waiting for are premiering next month and I decided to alert you beforehand about the important dramas that would air next month. Not all the September dramas are covered here, but the ones you should not miss out. For the complete list stay tuned till 1 September.

We have been hearing about these dramas since months and it is now we have a premiering date. And a lot K stars are making their comeback in September, that includes Ji Chang Wook, Im Siwan, Gong Hyo Jin, Bae Suzy and Kang Ha Neul. So do not miss out on this list. 🙂

Here is why you should not miss any Korean drama in September, 2019

1. Ji Chang Wook In “Melting Me Softly”

“Melting Me Softly” is Ji Chang Wook’s first drama after his military discharge. Lots of Ji Chang Wook’s fans are waiting to see him back on their screens after a long gap in his career due to military service. Won Jin Ah will be the female lead in the drama and it will release on September 28.

“Melt Me” is a story in which a man and woman are convinced to be frozen for 24 hours for an experiment. But the experiment goes wrong and they both wake up after 20 years. Ji Chang Wook will take on the role of Ma Dong Chan, a cold yet good at love producer director and Won Jin Ah that of an unpredictable Go Mi Ran, a part-time employee at a broadcasting station.

2. Lee Dong Wook And Im Siwan In “Strangers From Hell”

This one is spooky and a webtoon adaption drama and also Im Siwan’s first comeback drama after his mandatory military service. This is also a much awaited comeback for Im Siwan fans and also Lee Dong Wook in a spooky character is a bonus. The drama will release on 31st August.

“Strangers From Hell” will tell the story of a countryside man Yoon Jong Woo (Im Siwan) who moves to Seoul in search of job. The dormitory he lives in, have some strange people and strange and mysterious things happen there. He also meets dentist Seo Moon Zo (Lee Dong Wook) who helps him out.

3. Bae Suzy And Lee Seung Gi In “Vagabond”

Ah! we knew about this drama since 2018 but it is releasing now. It is a big budget drama and it take times to finish such dramas. All the cast and crew had really been working since months and it is surely to be loved by the audience. The first trailer of the drama looks captivating. And above all this is Bae Suzy’s comeback drama after 2 years. It will release on September 20.

“Vagabond” tells the story of Cha Gun (Lee Seung Gi) who wants to be an action star but gets involved in a plane crash investigation and begins to dig up information on the country’s corruption. Go Hae-ri (Bae Suzy) wants to support her family thus she chooses to be a public officer and becomes a black NIS (National Intelligent Service) agent.

4. Song Joon Ki and Kim Ji Won In Arthdal Chronicles Part 3

After Tanya ranged the secret bell in Arthdal Chronicles part 2, all we care for this September is Part 3. I’m desperately waiting for it and I guess all the fans are too. Arthdal Chronicles Part 3:  Arth, The Prelude to All Legends will air after IU and Yeo Jin Goo’s current drama “Hotel Del Luna” on September 7.

“Arthdal Chronicles” story revolves around the power struggles, love and growth of the ancient city of Arthdal, the capital of Gojoseon.

5. Kim So Hyun In Mung Bean Chronicles

Kim So Hyun is certainly in the most active time of her career. “Love Alarm” which aired in August is much awaited drama of this year. It was supposed to be the first Netflix original Korean drama but the zombie thriller “Kingdom” took its place. After “Love Alarm” Kim So Hyun has another one in line called “Mung Bean Chronicles” (or “Tale of Nokdu”) along with Jang Dong Yoon and Kang tae Oh. It will release on 30 September, 2019.

“The Tale Of Nokdu” is a rom-com story set in Joseon Dynasty. Jeon Nok Du (Jang Dong Yoon) who belongs to a noble family runs away from his house due to the burden of marrying a woman his family arranged for him. He then stays in a widow village where he disguises himself as a woman. There he meets Dong Dong Joo (Kim So Hyun) who is unwillingly training to become a gisaeng.

6. SF9’s Ro Woon And APRIL’s Na Eun In “July Found By Chance”

This one is based on a popular webtoon and is full of K pop stars. July found by chance has Kim Hye Yoon (Sky Castle), SF9’s Ro Woon, APRIL’s Na Eun and Lee Jae Wook in the main cast. It is expected to release on 18 September, 2019.

“July Found By Chance” will tell a story of high-school girl Eun Dan Oh (Kim Hye Yoon) who happens to relate her personality and life to a supporting character in a romance manga. She then tries to change the story of her life by using the flashes of story board which is only seen by her.

7. Kim Sun Ah And Kim Jae Young In “Secret Boutique”

Kim Sun Ah has been continuously doing good dramas. After “Children Of Nobody” this time she is set to star in a women-centric drama called “Secret Boutique” along with Kim Jae Young. Jang Mi Hee, Park Hee Bon and Kim Jae Young will also be starring alongside. The drama is expected to release on September 18.

“Secret Boutique” will tell the story of a poor women Jenny Jang (Kim Sun Ah) who after becoming successful working as a housemaid for a conglomerate family opens a J Boutique. She has a unique personality with business-minded attitude, due to which she becomes a powerful woman at the corrupt upper echelon and also starts working as a lobbyist. Her boutique then becomes a place to carry out upper class cases secretly.

8. Gong Hyo Jin and Kang Ha Neul In “When The Camellia Blooms”

Kang Ha Neul’s first drama after military discharge and Gong Hyo Jin’s coming to the drama world after 3 years is enough reason to watch “When The Camellia Blooms”. Kim Ji Suk will star alongside and the drama is expected to release on 18 September, 2019.

“When the Camellia Blooms” will tell the story of a single mother Dong Baek (Gong Hyo Jin) who runs a bar. She gets involved with three men with completely different personalities. One of them is good, the other is bad while the third one can be called cheap. Kang Ha Neul will play the role of a policeman who is the neighbour of Dong Baek and is also in love with her.

9. Gong Seung Yeon, Kim Min Jae and Seo Ji Hoon in “Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency”

This Flower Crew agency is full of flower boys: Kim Min Jae (Mr. Sunshine), Seo Ji Hoon (Mama Fairy And The Woodcutter), Park Ji Hoon and Byun Woo Suk along with Gong Seung Yeon (Are You Human Too?) as the female lead. The drama will release on 16 September, 2019.

“Flower Crew : Joseon Marriage Agency” will tell the love story of a king named Lee Soo (Seo Ji Hoon) and a poor woman named Gae Ddong (Gong Seung Yeon) in Joseon Dynasty. Due to their different status they cannot marry. So the king asks the best Marriage Agency of Joseon that is “Flower Crew” to protect her and make her a noble woman.


So these were the dramas you should not miss out. September, 2019 is definitely full of star-studded cast and much awaited Korean dramas. It is going to be hard to skip any of these.
